    3. What can I do if they/I did not make a claim during the approved claim period?

The Jewish Claims Conference has a claim to properties that were registered for or claimed during the approved time period prior to 12/31/992. The Jewish Claims Conference (JCC) controls the properties that were under Nazi occupation that were not claimed during the approved time period. The JCC owns the land if it is not claimed. If you can prove to the JCC that the land is rightfully yours (present them with your certificate of inheritance) they will give you some negotiated compensation. This sum varies from case to case.
