    7. On the average, how long does a property restitution claim take to resolve?

The successful and quick resolution of the restitution process is not only dependent on the order of the registration number, but it is also dependent on completeness of the documents to LAROV (especially Land Registrations and Erbscheiner) which are of essential importance for this process.

In typical cases, the process may take anywhere form six months to several years. Although there is an enormous time range, the majority of claims are usually settled between 1 1/2 to 2 years.

Upon presentation of a complete package, the LAROV is in principal agreeable to working with the heirs or their appointed representative. Obviously only lawyers experienced in open-ended property issues will be able to possibly expedite the process.

There are hundreds of thousands of claims, and your registration number determines where you are on the list. There are certain mitigating factors; however, if you have a buyer who is willing to settle you can get bumped up on the list. Also, in select cases, an attorney can assist you in accelerating the settlement process.
