    8. How do I know that I am getting the best price for my property?

It is very difficult to ascertain what the "best price" is in Germany because unlike the United States, data records regarding real estate sales are sealed. These records are not available to the public and it is therefore very hard to make comparisons to other settlements. This, coupled with the sometimes unusual circumstances surrounding restitution settlements, prohibits an accurate "best price" quote from being made. Each case is unique and has different factors that must be considered.
